mel, jay, james, and i went out to a jukumi place in our neighborhood the other night.jukumi is like stir fried baby octopus with onions and an extremely spicy sauce, and while that may sound sketchy, it's one of my favorite korean meals.
[it was warm enough for the restaurant to open their window/door things]
[this is the raw octopus before the fire roasts it into a pile of deliciousness.]
[the workers stir the pot for you.]
[once everything is all cooked, you wrap pieces of jukumi with raddish into a sesame leaf. NOM NOM NOM.]
then, with a relatively stuffed belly, you dive into a heap of rice with seaweed, fish eggs, and butter.
so delicious! if this looks the least bit appetizing to you, i suggest you visit me in korea and experience it for yourself ^^
