this past weekend, a few coworkers, some new friends, and i hiked dobongsan. we did so in honor of alison's birthday!
this is alison, a coworker of mine:
many people have this idea of seoul being a concrete jungle, but it is actually surrounded by nature! it's as if the entire city is resting in the bottom of a bowl of (seemingly) blue and beige rock.
compared to the last hike we did, i actually enjoyed this one much more. the hikes were comparable in terms of difficulty, but dobongsan offered much more scenic views and spacious terrain to roam.
once we reached the top, we rested for about an hour while eating lunch, sipping makgeolli and wine, and snapping photos like tourists do.

amie and alison:
we concluded the hike by downing a cold brewskie, like true americans do.
what a fun way to spend a sunny saturday!
