wednesday, september 22nd.

today is a korean holiday called "chuseok". it is basically the korean's version of thanksgiving. the difference between chuseok and thanksgiving, however, is that the korean culture celebrates and honors their fallen ancestors and family members during chuseok. in celebration of my time off from work, i agreed to go to "some war ruins" with a rando. well, we never actually found these supposed "war ruins". instead, we found an abandoned torture chamber where the north koreans used to dismember south korean soldiers.

if i had known i would have been dangerously flirting with the border of north korea, i would most likely turned down this offer.
