on saturday, october 2nd, a few friends and i went to hongdae.hongdae is this really rad, artsy district in seoul.
this indian restaurant is called yeti. you sit on the ground and eat your warm curry, rice, and flatbread. after the meal, i took a food coma nap on the soft pillows while my girls watched "the best of bollywood" on a big screen. life was good.
i went on a bus tour around seoul with some other teacher friends on sunday, october 3rd.
our first stop was the korean war memorial.
pretty crazy stuff.
it was really hard to see all of these names of the fallen soldiers plastered onto endless walls.
they already had the torpedo that sank the cheonan, a south korea ship that was sunk by north korea in march of 2010, on display at the memorial!
we then went to a hanok village, a village full of traditional korean homes. at the village, we found some beautiful malaysian dancers whose job was to wear cool clothes and dance with foreigners.
also taking place at the village was a traditional korean wedding!
the bride was so cute!!
we also went to the north seoul tower ...
so romantic, in fact, that you will find thousands of these little heart charms locked onto the railings of the tower. so presh!!
phew, that was such a long post!!
